Raaz Mania, one of the top male models of Bangladesh has true
verve that always keeps him in the public eye. He started his career of
modeling around February 2012 while still in college and has never
looked over his shoulder since. The Daily Star stopped by to talk to
Mania about life as a model:
How did you become a model?
Raaz: One of my friends is a model. I went with him
to a shoot where people said that (at 6'1”) my physique was perfect for
modeling. Later they asked me to do a shoot for them, and here I am.
Was it your dream to become a model?
Raaz: It was never my dream. I just ventured in for
the fun of it. But now, modeling has become a part of me. I feel, when
you start to do something, and if you really like it, that eventually
becomes your dream.
What does it take to become a model?
Raaz: To be a proper ramp model, you need to have a
good height. Grooming is also an essential ingredient. And of course you
need to eat healthy and work out every day.
How ambitious is a career in modeling in Bangladesh?
Raaz: To be honest, in our country it is not a wise
decision to take modeling as a profession. Down the road, I don't see
myself being here for very long.
